Deion Sanders I Would NEVER Hit a Woman!!! [Video]

Deion Sanders insists ... he never laid a finger on his estranged wife Pilar during a nuclear argument in their Texas mansion Monday -- telling TMZ, "I would never touch a woman. That's not me."

Deion -- who's in NYC for the NFL Draft with his two sons -- told us the citation he received for simple assault this week is BS ... because he "never did that stuff."

As we previously reported, cops in Prosper, TX issued Deion a ticket for misdemeanor simple assault for his role in Monday's altercation -- when Pilar allegedly jumped him in his bedroom ... "kicking, biting, and scratching" him in front of his sons.

Deion has insisted from the beginning -- he never harmed Pilar, and only "defended" himself until he was able to call police.

Pilar was arrested for domestic violence. An emergency protective order was also issued against her, banning her from the ex-couple's home.

Dennis Rodman FINALLY DIVORCED

Dennis Rodman is officially a single man -- finally agreeing to sign his wife's divorce papers after battling her for 8 years.

Michelle Rodman initially filed for divorce in 2004 -- then filed again in 2012 after a failed attempt at a reconciliation. We're told Dennis had been fighting her for years about agreeing to sign off on the split.

But in new court docs, obtained by TMZ, Dennis has finally relented -- putting his John Hancock on an agreement to dissolve his marriage once and for all.

There are still some financial issues to work out -- namely the $800,000 in back child support Dennis allegedly owes -- but for all intents and purposes, they're both officially single.

As for the primary motive behind re-filing the papers -- Michelle's attorney Mary Ann Noiroux tells TMZ, Michelle just wanted closure for the kids.

Dennis and Michelle got married in 2003 on Dennis' 42nd birthday. They have two children together -- a son and a daughter.

As you all know......being readers of this blog.....we have trashed women's basketball from time to time.

Women do play a  good fundamental  game.....But .....athletically....women's basketball is so inferior to the game us men are used to playing.....and watching.

We have always said.......a good five high school boys team.....would beat a WNBA team like a drum.

Nothing mean spirited here.....just the facts.....genetics.....

Men are stronger....jump higher....have better reflects......no shame...

Women can give birth to babies......We can't........and we applaud them.

But basketball?

Come on......

But......we do owe a bit of gratitude to a coach.   A coach....we feel...could .....if given the chance.......be a champion on the basketball court of not just women......but men as well.

That woman?

Pat Summitt.....

Ms.  Summitt......could have coached any team......anywhere......any genre.....and succeeded.

As Ms. Summitt......strolls off into the sunset.....we applaud her.....and what she has accomplished.

We ......wish you well.......

Ex-NBA Star Jayson Williams Released from Rikers Island

Breaking News

Disgraced former NBA superstar Jayson Williams is a free man again -- the 44-year-old was officially released from Rikers Island jail this morning.

Williams completed 8 months of his 1-year sentence ... stemming from a DUI arrest in 2010.

TMZ broke the story ... Jayson's blood alcohol level was .24 -- 3 times the legal limit -- and cops say he swerved across four lanes of traffic before striking a tree in NYC.

Before his stint at Rikers, Williams served 18 months in Wrightstown, NJ for aggravated assault and obstructing justice ... as part of a plea deal he accepted in the 2002 shooting death of his limo driver.

A.....Not so "Brave " New World

To end their colossal collapse  last season.......the Atlanta Braves lost the final 5 games on their way to that historic choke job.

To begin this season.....these same Braves lost their first 4......

So really ....a 9 game losing streak.

In only their 2nd year without sure to be Hall of Famer,  Bobby Cox.....the natives in "Hot-lanta"....are getting a little restless.

We don't blame them.....

This team can't hit........the starting pitchers can only go 5 innings.....and their fielding is suspect.

Their owners?   Liberty Media?  They could care less.   They view these Braves as simply a business.     As long as the Braves turn a profit....what do wins and losses matter?

Where is Ted Turner....when you need him.

There's going to be some dark times ahead.

Better get used to it.
